CAITLYN BOGART is an internationally-tolerated singer and music director currently based in Ann Arbor, MI. (I’m about to tell you about myself in the third person.)
Caitlyn is a vocalist and music director working at the intersection of jazz, classical, and musical theater genres. She is a senior in the University of Michigan Voice & Opera Program with a minor in Musical Theater Composition.
She’s performed in many wonderful concerts around the country as a vocalist, including the 4th of July Spectacular Concert with the Santa Rosa Symphony, Detroit Jazz Fest with the UMich Jazz Ensemble, UMICH President Santa Ono’s Inauguration, and the 2023 University of Michigan Spring Commencement at the Big House as well as at Hill Auditorium for SMTD’s Collage and with the Michigan Pops Orchestra at The Michigan Theater.
As a music director, Caitlyn’s work started at the University of Michigan, and she’s since worked on Catch Me If You Can (MD/Conductor; MUSKET; 2024), Indecent (MD/Incidental Orchestrator; Rude Mechanicals; 2022), and a variety of independent student productions. She is a member of Maestra and participated in their Mentorship Program this past year. Regionally, she worked as a Music Assistant for Transcendence Theater Company in Sonoma, CA. She sang at select performances and received praise from Broadway World San Francisco.
She regularly performs with the Jazz Lab Band at UMich under the direction of Dennis Wilson while studying voice with Caitlin Lynch and composition with Lynne Shankel.
She loves coffee, traveling, all things vintage, and often ponders the consequences of late-stage capitalism!
